Days 426 & 427- The Garden's Living Room

If I am to sit in my garden, watch weeds grow,
earth settles
and stones erode;

It will still be time better spent then meddling with the madness,
chasing wants,
lamenting regrets.

I knew when this abandoned house finally completes, the garden is where I will want to do most of my living. It is where I will sit, work, think when I am alone; chat, laugh, eat and drink when I am not.

And so I built this living room of simple yet hardy furniture. A living room I can bring anywhere in the garden, for me; and you if you wish for my company; and of course, those special moments when I want a chat with the Old Man.

*******************************************************************

The humble beginnings.

Much of the construction was in the painting.

Version 1 when I only used 1 piece for the table top. The final version had 3.
Pillows made from trimmings and the tiniest, shiniest beads.

Never did the expression "living room" fit better... that's for sure the best place to spend the day whether with or without friends! As ususal you've done a wonderful job with the colours of these pieces and you've turned these findings into awesome furniture. At first I thought the chairs are elephant-shaped... ;O)

You've created a wonderful set of furniture, Sans, I absolutely love the color and these colorful trimmings for the seats. At first I thought the same as Birgit, that the chairs are elephant-shaped....;)!
I think it's good to have a favorite place to be, especially when you'll need some time for yourself, away of daily life and other situations, so enjoy yours :)!
Warm hug, Ilona

How lovely! Wonderful to be able to enjoy outdoors using these marvelous
pieces of "iron wrought" furniture. Great work!

Goodness, it has been ages since I have been to visit your blog. But still making very atmospheric miniature scenes I see. I would not mind spending lots of time in this garden!

I have to say I saw this post in the morning but it is only now I could comment it. :)
I am so happy to see your works again.:)I would love so pretty pretty living room for myself in real life too.
Guess it is not surprise the table reminded me about my own garden furniture from some time ago.;) Have to admit I thought the stools are elephant shaped too!

I missed your colorful, full of music posts and I do hope you will post again whenever you will feel you need to do it, only keeping my fingers crossed it will be a bit more often.:)
Thank you for your comment dearest Sam. Well, I have to admit the room is not looking the same, it is much more cluttered than when you were here.:)
Hugs and kisses from all of us

Dear Sans!, I am so Happy to come sit with you in your garden again... I feel as though I have been there so many times! The little stools with the Perfect jeweled pillows are just the touch that make this spot a little corner of bliss! Thinking of sitting there for a chat, with tea, and bird song, and maybe even paint and tiny things that need adorning.... this is what makes My Heart Sing!!! I am, like many of us in blogland, Very Happy that you are once again making tiny things and sharing them with us! I am always Enchanted all over again!

Such a lovely place to sit and reach out through the veil to those we love and miss.
Also a very good idea and crafty use of materials. I love the colourful seats!
Thank you for your kind message, you did nudge me back a bit further. Behind the scenes I am working on getting my mojo back. I will get there, inspired by you.
Big hugs,
Veronique

I can certainly see why you would wish to do most of your living outside in the garden. It is a very calm and inviting space with a freedom and sense of serenity that is so inviting and especially when shared with friends. :)
