Day 315-The Wonderful World of Wankendorf

Not a long long time ago,

in a land quite far, far away

there lives a little girl

called Birgit.

In the neighbourhood where Birgit lives,

black birds sing all day,

 storks

bring home the babies

and Sundays are special days.

On this day, friends come from all over the world

(even Singa from Singapore

and Earl Grey from Italy)

because MamaSilke bakes her famous cakes.

Like this marzipan cake just for Ro and Sans!

We even left a teeny slice for Ewa

with kisses from Fluby

(all virtual of course).

And they all live happily ever after.

~The End~

Oh, What a GLORIOUS CAKE that is!!!!
I think it is Wonderful that you could go to visit with Sing A Pore to see his Family!!! The pictures of this village look Beautiful.... and Magical...like a World Lost in Time... or maybe that is just the Mist.... but those thatched roofs and the Road lined with Trees are Very beautiful!

As you may remember Rosanna and I decided to say some very nasty and bad things about this post because you turned off my computer before we got the chance to even take a glimpse at this post... but I'm not able to. I'm still beaming with joy because of the wonderful time we spent together and you were right: This post is really wonderful. I really had to laugh remembering the man who invited you to photograph the storks and suggested to put a baby in the nest just for you... it was good you didn't understand him, who knows, maybe he'd gone to put his grandchild on the roof just for you, the lovely lady from Singapore - we really don't see people from Singapore very often around this place... ;O)

Please give Ewa a big hug (not only a virtual hug). I wish you both loads of fun!

Hugs
Birgit

What an amazing thing, this wonderful trip, how its brought you all together! And I get to tag along too, in a way, and see these places in a way I would never get to see. And eat some of that cake, in my imagination at least. (Less calories that way?)
