Day 308- The Colours of Boqueria

This is for you Birgit.

We woke up to the promise of a fabulous day. The sun was out and the weather was perfect for a day out at Barcelona.  That we did till almost 8pm tonight.  One of the places we visited was La Boqueria. I think the pictures say it all. To think that I was just clicking away. I have not seen any market more photogenic than this one. Anther great day, thanks to Eva and her family.

I can hardly open my eyes now. Tomorrow, we go to a free outdoor jazz festival and then in the evening, >I fly out to Genoa. Only 3 days and I already took 600 pictures.I see them even in my dreams. On that note, I bid all of you goodnight or good morning, if you are reading from Singapore.

I'm glad you're having a nice holiday! Please, you give a kiss to Eve, on my part! If I were closer, I'd come in Genoa to know you personally, but I live in southern Italy, too far for me ... damn it!
enjoy the rest, I expect to see other beautiful photos!
kisses
Caterina

Rosanna, thank you I am well now

The weather is so good here ,Ro, you will be jealous when you see the pictures. I bought you and Papa some torrons from Barcelona. It is ok if the weather is not so good in Genoa. It is still beautiful when it rains. I remember Genoa's gentle shower and think about how I love it back in Singapore.

And bored? How can anyone be bored with you!!!

Sans! said...

Thank you, Bets:):):) but I take no credit for these pictures. I wasn't even trying very hard. Really. All you have to do us click and something magical is stored in your memory card. Do you want to see more of Barcelona? I will show you some crazy beautiful work by a genius of an architect , Gaudi.

I have enjoyed Barcelona so much and I live it when you are here to share it with me :).

Sans! said...

Thank you for your good wishes, Debbie. I am flying from one set of safe hands to another. :)

Caterina, it is a pity that we cannot meet this trip :(. But thank you for joining me on my journey here. It still means a lot :). I gave Eva a kiss on her cheek and told her its from you. Can you see me walking out of her son's room with my iPad and pecking her on the cheek. She was a little surprised until I told her its from you :).

Myah muah muah Eva. I have told you much of how special Barcelona is for me this time around because of you and your family. At all the great dinners that Alex cooked for us, while looking at casa ballo, when shopping for the girls, over churros breakfast and sitting in your lovely home with my iPad.

I am so happy .

Ah, Sans! I Know just a Little bit about Gaudi... my Daddy being an Architect... the awareness runs in my blood! But I have to confess that I went to Google when I knew you were in Barcelona... and so I also looked in on the Gaudi Cathedral.... SOOOOOO AMAZING! I would like to see it in person ... Someday... :):)
In fact... I was HOPING that you had been there so I can see YOUR pictures...!!!! :):):)(Can't wait!)
Besos!

Now I'm growing a slight panic... nothing like La Boqueria around here to show you and not even good weather... ;O) Barcelona must be a fantastic city, and I've read in your comment you got in contact with Gaudi... how I envy you - but I can comfort me with the thought that you will share your pics and impressions in the outstanding, magical way only you can do that. And of course I'm busy with counting down the days and the hours...

See you soon! *smile*
Birgit (and hugs from Fluby, I had a hard time drawing him back from the monitor - LOL)

Ana, did your ears itch? Was telling a new friend whom I met through Eva about how even in Portugal, I have a friend ( yes, I was bragging). She lives in Cataris(?, must ask Eva how to spell that) , very near Portugal and she was describing to me the beauty of Lisbon :).

Birgit, I know I will enjoy wankerdorf. And if the village is as small as you claim, at least Rosanna and I can smirk to someone "I have been to Wamkerdorf. Have you?" heh heh :).

I feel so sad that I've been away, and depriving myself of such amazing, extraordinary sights and sounds. I wish I wasn't so overwhelmed by the things I have to do, so I could just drink in all the colors here, take in the scents, sip the drinks. What a wonderful journey, Sans, what a beautiful world. Thank you.
