Day 413- Shambles

One of the consequences I had to face up for being away for so long was the sad state of my tribal house.

Almost everything was falling..

and apart.

I was gone so long other inhabitants have moved in

and made their homes here.
Yes, the wasps were back, kicking and hissing.

Others lived to a ripe old age like this one who  was found very dead but still beautiful.
I hope she was at least happy with her lodging.

Cleaning out the tribal house was my first task getting back to minis.

Took me one day just to finish this room.

Even then, I swear I could still hear the hissing wasps...

Hi Sans! I'm sure that you'll get damages repaired and rid off flying dwellers. It's nice and exceptional dolls house and worth of lot.

I must admit I am happy to see the Tribal House again... even in Ruins and Shambles I will be glad to see that house! You have put so much Love and Character into it... there are stories and memories that Live there! The wasps.... nasty invaders.... I hope you can keep them from coming back! I think the bugs are why I don't live in the Tropics! LOL! At least here in the North they have to be able to survive Winter... and most don't... so Nature is on our side!
But it is interesting to me also how our projects "age" when we aren't looking at them.... dust, decay, debris, the accumulating evidence of Age creep in... no matter what we do! I am a very bad "housekeeper".... but none of my houses are "done" yet... I keep messing with them... which keeps the dust from settling....
So you see, you will just Have to keep coming back.... and coming back... and coming back!
Which makes me smile...!!! :):):)

Welcome back to miniatures, Sans. :-) Wasps, yeah, my favourites. I had them under my deck one year. And whenever we wanted to enter the garden we got attacked by them. After the summer we could have won the jumping-from-the-deck championship (is there such a thing?) ... lol

Good to see you're back to miniatures... although if this means having to clean the house, fixing the broken pieces and fighting with wasps (*gasp*) And it's always a pleasure to see your tribal house again... and I really wonder... how will the abandoned house look like after being abondoned... hope I'll learn soon! ;O)

Hugs

I agree that cleaning is always a good way to start getting the feel of things! It forces us to pick up our pieces and that's always a beginning! It puts us once again in contact with everything and is a good way to crank up the old creativity!

Heyyyyy Lucille!!! Fancy seeing you again! You know what? Cleaning is also a good way for long lost friends to drop by ;) .

And I agree with you, nothing like cleaning old art to see all over again where we have been, what we were thinking and wondering how we did them all. Time is also a great test for what kind of material is good and what not.

I must do a post on some of the artisanal pieces that have truly withstand time, not to mention bugs and humidity.

Remcooooooo! After I read your comment, I spent a total of 1 day finishing up the rest of the house.

But you MUST visit if you are ever in Singapore ok? I will introduce you to the neighbours, Mr and Mrs Wasps. They are not very friendly but the built good mud houses :)

Ah, you already cleaned and fixed the house :-) Maybe you should let a bear live in your houses...I never have any problems with E-beertje's house, he always keeps it tidy and clean, even when I'm away for months!!! ;-)

I had a wasp trying to start a nest right outside my Studio window. I heard the wasp long before I saw what it was up to. I knocked it down whilst it was the wasp was away and the nest was still in its early development but when that wasp returned... BOY WAS SHE MAD! I kept my window closed just in case she could smell the guilt on me. :((
I don't think that I have ever heard of a wasp building its nest in a doll's house Sans... so I am glad that you took photos of those extra small minis of the"buzzing kind". :))
